Our Mission Statement
The Nanaimo Toy Run brings motorcyclists, enthusiasts and families together for a very worthy cause, the joy of a child receiving a gift at Christmas. Strapped to bikes two abreast in row after row are lots and lots of brand new children’s toys. Gleaming bikes sport different names and badges and colors and their riders range from all-season diehards to weekend enthusiasts. For this day, we are one sister/brotherhood of riders thinking of the smiles our toys will bring to kids’ faces.
All the toys that are collected are donated to our affiliate, The Great Nanaimo Toy Drive, for distribution to the needy kids and families of Greater Nanaimo. In addition, any monies earned or donated will be distributed to various charities and societies supporting the family core in the Greater Nanaimo area.
The roaring of hundreds of motorcycle engines fills the air, But this is not a day just for motorcyclists as lots of spectators will line the parade route, excitedly waving, calling and whistling to the riders.
