First Annual Nanaimo Toy Run A Huge Success

It’s hard to believe that one and a half years of planning for the First Annual Nanaimo Toy Run have come and gone. The support for the Toy Run by local businesses was unbelievable, and we received donations from as far away as Calgary, Alberta. Our team of Directors worked hard together and did a fantastic job of fund raising and planning. Most of all, the support of the motor cycle riders and the public attendance is what made the First Annual Nanaimo Toy Run a huge success with over 300 motor cycles registered and at the peak of the day, an estimated 2500 people in attendance to enjoy the festivities.

The event raised more than $ 4,500.00 worth of toys, and also a large sum of cash donations to help the children and families in need in the Nanaimo area.Nanaimo Toy Run Toy Donations

We would like to a big “hats off” for the support of the Nanaimo R.C.M.P. for their large roll in helping us by leading the ride, stopping traffic, and also for assisting us in our security plan.

There will be exciting changes to next years Nanaimo Toy Run. This is your event to enjoy. If you have any ideas for improvement, please leave us a note in the “suggestion box”, or send us an email.

As the President of the Nanaimo Toy Run Society, I could not be more proud of all the people that helped to make this event happen, and I can’t wait for next year’s Nanaimo Toy Run.

    where and how do you register to be in it? just curious so i can tell my dad! he always goes in the port alberni toy run and would love to be in this one:)

      Registration for the Toy Run will be at the Cedar Community Hall on Cedar Road on the morning of the event (June 30, 2012). Registration is free, and the registration tables will be open at 9:00 am.
